Are pawn shops buying up all the ammo to resell and make big profits?

I went to the pawn shop today and they had about 10 boxes of 9mm Luger ammo. It was a mix between Remington and Winchester. They were all 50 round boxes that were 115 grain. They were selling them for $18.95 a box. The same box would sell for $11.97 at Wal-Mart, if they had any in stock. Will anybody still buy ammo at this price?

Lots of people are hoarding. This has been going on for several years, but picked up pace when you-know-who became nominated for you-know-what. Making 50% markup is just exploiting the shortage hoarders created.

* Yes there will be many People Profiteering from whats going on in the Country at the present time regarding Guns and Ammo.* However we as Consumers are Not Winning.*

Yes they are
They are going to Walmart in the morning and buying all they can and them reselling it at a mark up

Many Walmarts have imposed a two box a day limit on ammo sales for this reason

Actually; if you reload for 36 different cartridges, like I do, then this would not be a problem for you.
The secret is to get to Walmart earlier than the pawn shop guy does and then point him out to all the Walmart clerks in the Sporting Goods department.

My WalMart has a three box limit, but three boxes of nothing is still nothing. I did get 3 boxes of 9mm FMJ Winchester 100 pack the other day at $19.97. One box went to my buddy and two went to my boss. As to the shortage, you can’t blame the early bird for buying all the worms. If I got there early enough and the store had no limits, I’d do the same. That is called capitalism.
