Building Big Profits in Real Estate: A Guide for The New Investor

Product Description
Everyday, people just like you have a real chance to make serious money in real estate. All it requires is the discipline to purchase good property and the motivation to make new purchases that will create growing equity. Filled with in-depth insights and practical advice, Building Big Profits in Real Estate will show you the right way to invest in real estate.

A successful stock market investor may need to perform extensive research to make a profit, but becoming a successful real estate investor can be more complex and far more hands-on, especially when you’re just getting started. The good thing about real estate is that it offers more security as well as greater upside potential than any other investment—-mainly because the value of property never goes to zero (unlike some recent stocks) and real estate prices often continue to go up even when general economic conditions are soft.

Building Big Profits in Real Estate focuses on the sound strategies that everyone needs to understand before they invest in real estate. It covers important topics, such as analyzing markets, financing your projects, purchasing rental property, managing a real estate portfolio, finding new ways to invest, and understanding wholesale markets. It also reveals some of the most overlooked opportunities in the real estate market, including Section 8 rentals, wholesaling properties, and selling houses on a rent-to-own basis.

This book is a must have especially for the beginning real estate investor. This book has helped me start with the information I needed more than any other book I’ve read so far. Gives real “true to life” examples of how he made it big without a lot of experience or money. I recommended it to the small investors that would like to become a millionare like Wade (the author)!

This book is absolutely horrible. Not worth the time reading and certainly not worth the money. Approximately 30% of the books is forms, including rental appications, leases etc. There are too many other good book out there than to consider this one.

Building Big Profits in Real Estate: A Guide for the New Investor, by Wade Timmerson & Suzanne Caplan

I’ve read several hundred books about real estate and investing and it’s my sincere belief that if you get one new idea it was worth 10X the price of the book as well as the time you spend reading it. Wade’s story is inspirational and the book is informative beyond simply real estate per say. He talks about business in general and shares his concepts, values and beliefs. He also openly touches on some of his mistakes.

My forte is in larger commercial deals such as apartment buildings, hospitality properties and commercial space, but Wade’s enthusiasm for the smaller deals is the final straw that nudged me over the edge to take a shot at smaller, distressed properties. I’ll have a few thousand fliers made up this week and give it a whirl.

Some other books on this subject of doing lots of smaller deals that I’ve recently read and reviewed both on Amazon and on my Blog (The Real Estate Investors Blog) are; 52 Holmes in 52 Weeks, by Dolf De Roos and The Real Estate Fast Track, by David Finkel

A few great lines from the book:

“The number one thing I’ve seen in successful people is confidence. If you don’t believe in yourself, how can you expect someone else to?”

“I always hear from folks who haven’t done it, that you can’t buy property at 60% of it’s value, but I continually find ways to do so. Then I envision the look on the faces of the ones who said it doesn’t happen.”

This book is awesome. My wife and I owned rental property but we wanted to go to the next step. After all the infomercials we had more questions than answers. A friend told me about this guy named Wade Timmerson and he had a great book. I bought the book and began to learn some truths about real estate. I connected with the author since he spoke plainly and truthfully about real estate and his experiences. I believe no matter if you are new or a veteran to real estate you will get valuble knowledge from his book. This book is the first I’ve read that helps the average investor get started and what to do next. The bonus in the book was all the forms and contracts that you can use for your business. The book is truly a must read for any investor.

This book tells the personal story of someone who was starting out in the business and what he did wrong. The appendix is a good source of information but you still want your lawyers to look at your own agreements etc. The writers wrote this book did not clearly give you step by step information but it was an interesting read.
