should higher crude oil prices eventually coorelate to better profits for big american oil corporations?
If i believe that crude oil prices will rise much higher, then is it a good idea to invest in big american oil? If you answer this question and are an economist, please say so

You might do better with the production oil companies such as Devon, Andarko, etc. But assuming that congress does not take away the tax breaks for the oil companies, they should do just fine. Probably will do ok even without the tax breaks. No I am not an economist.
If the prices for refined products can keep up with the price of oil then they should be a good buy. But if it doesnt their refining margins will shrink and so will profits.
