What is Taking the Dems so Long to Put a Windfall Profits Tax on Big Food for Food Prices Going up?
Isn’t it time these corn, wheat and cattle barrons who are taking advantage of average and poor Americans pay their share ?

With a lame duck prez and a dead duck congress, I don’t see it happening.
When will they “stop the farming” to protect the 3 toed newt?
YES! and a windfall tax on public utilities is also needed!
So you want us to tax the only thing that still comes from America….
You republicans really crack me up…
Because they can’t convince people that Bush went to war for food.
Or that Bush is invested in “Big Food”
The increased food prices are a result of high fuel prices, and a weaker dollar thanks to Bush’s war and the Federal Reserves monetary policy.
It takes a lot longer than that to demonize an entire industry. The Democrats have been training the public for years.
Isn’t it time the Republican loyalists learned that the Dems cannot push through any sensible legislation, because the Senate requires 60 votes to pass it, and so that means about nine Republicans would have to forget they are the Bush Buddies, the Arm of the Presidency, and vote their consciences?
Since few of them have consciences, as we learned with the activity on K Street, that seldom happens.
Because Pelosi thinks that only applies to the oil companies that supply us with the fuel to keep running. But she WILL!
