Why has big business profits gone to record heights during the Bush presidency?

while ordinary americans…instead of getting the mythical trickle down are instead paying through the nose for gasoline, suffering through unaffordly high health care costs, and food prices, the worst inflation in 30 years, losing their homes via foreclosure by the millions, etc…..?????

Why has the number of billionaires and multimillionaires skyrocketed while the middle class is shrinking and the ranks of the poor swell????
